After 30 years in the Burlington Mall and 6 year on Mall Road we have moved to a more easily accessible location at 279 Cambridge St. (Rt. 3A) Burlington. We have joined Dr. Kuong Nguyen at Burlington Eye Care, a practice that predates Levine Eyes.
Dr. Kenneth B. Levine grew up just down the road in Tewksbury, graduated Brandeis University just down the road in Waltham, and received his Doctor of Optometry degree from the New England College of Optometry just down the road in Boston.
While at Brandeis, Dr. Levine was a research assistant in the Psycology Department, participating in dozens of experiments and studies in visual and auditory perception and cognition. Dr. Levines senior honors thesis was published in the international journal "Perception & Psychophysics".
While at New England College of Optometry, Dr. Levine held jobs in the General Clinic, Pediatric Clinic and the lab of the Contact Lens Clinic in addition to his clinical internships there. His clinical training culminated in work at Hadassah Hospital in Jerusalam including fitting hard-to-fit special contact lenses to infants, children and adults including diseased corneas and traumatic injuries.
While in practice for 30 years in Burlington, Dr. Levine has worked with many contact lens and solution manufacturers in evaluating and perfecting their products. He has coordinated care of many of his patients with numerous top Ophthalmologists in the area and in Boston. Dr. Levine has also mentored numerous Optometry students and recently became an adjuct instructor at New England College of Optometry to allow him to officially contribute to the clinical training of students and residents in the office. Most importantly, Dr. Levine has constantly worked hard to take the best care of his patients. The ultimate proof of this is that over 75% of our patients are former patients or friends and family of former patients. We continue to see 3 generations of many families and are even beginning to see 4 generations of some!
